What You’ll Learn

Our cosmetology program goes far beyond the basics. The curriculum provides students with in-depth instruction about valuable beauty skills, plus many useful business skills.

It’s our goal to prepare students to sit for the Florida State Board exam, meet the public with confidence and poise, and contribute their skills to the beauty industry.

Our Teaching Method

We make every effort to provide our students with a great education. That’s why we use a combination of fun, effective teaching styles in our cosmetology program. Students get the opportunity to learn in a classroom setting through written assignments, lectures, observation, and educational games. They also get plenty of practical instruction, such as practicing hairstyles on mannequins and performing services on real clients in our student salon.

 

Get Hands-On Training in Our Student Salon

As part of your cosmetology education, you’ll get to provide beauty services to actual clients in our student salon. This will give you the chance to interact with customers, apply what you’ve learned in class, and use high-end CHI products in real-life scenarios. While you perform services in our student salon, licensed beauty professionals will supervise you to provide guidance, feedback, and further instruction as needed.

World Class Academy of Beauty Careers is proud to be a family-based school. Our owner and executive director, Renae, and all of her daughters work here. Renae and the other instructors have over 30 years of experience in the hair and beauty industry, so they know what it takes to succeed in this field.

We’re truly passionate about our craft and helping our students hone their beauty skills. We have chosen to partner with CHI, one of the top brands in hair care, so our students have access to high-end beauty products while they’re learning. This is part of the reason why the kits our cosmetology students receive are such great quality.

Another aspect that sets us apart from other beauty schools is that we focus on working with natural hair. We love teaching students how to braid hair and bring out the unique beauty of everyone’s natural hair.

Program Length and Class Schedules

The curriculum is 1200 hours, so you’ll have time to learn a wide range of beauty skills. How long it takes to complete the program depends on whether you’re attending full-time or part-time.

Our full-time program is scheduled during the daytime and can be completed in as little as 8 months. The part-time program is available during the daytime or nighttime and can be completed in as little as 12 months. Both full-time and part-time classes start on the first Tuesday of each month.

Financial Aid

Don’t let financial obstacles keep you from attending cosmetology school! We offer many different financial assistance programs to help students pay for their education. To see if you qualify for financial aid or scholarships, the first step is filling out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. Our financial aid administrators would be happy to answer any questions you have about the FAFSA® form or anything else related to financial aid. How much does the cosmetology program cost?

Tuition is $13,535 for both full-time and part-time classes. This includes the cost of textbooks and your student kit. The enrollment fee is $150. If cost is a concern, there are a variety of ways to pay for your cosmetology education! Check out the variety of financial aid options available to each of our students who qualify.

When do classes start?

We have cosmetology classes starting a variety of times throughout the year! Classes begin on the first Tuesday of each month. Here are the class start dates for 2022:

  • April 5th
  • May 3rd
  • June 7th
  • July 5th
  • August 2nd
  • September 6th
  • October 4th
  • November 1st
  • December 6th

Can I transfer to this program from another school?

Yes, we accept transfer students. In addition to our other application requirements, we’ll need transcripts from your previous institution. We evaluate each transfer student’s classes on an individual basis.

How to Apply

Are you ready to start the application process? If so, here are the steps you need to take:

  1. Schedule a campus visit. During your visit, you’ll tour the campus and get the chance to meet our staff and students.
  2. Learn about the program you’re interested in, ensuring it’s aligned with your lifestyle and goals. You are more than welcome to ask our staff questions during this process so they can provide you with all the information you need.
  3. Look into financial aid and scholarships to see if you qualify.
  4. Complete an enrollment application and pay the enrollment fee.
  5. Submit a copy of your high school diploma or GED, along with high school or post-high school transcripts.
