What You Can Learn in Our Barbering Program

Our barbering program combines theory and practical instruction to prepare students to provide services to the public. You can expect to explore an array of styling skills as well as the business side of the industry. Many of our students join us with an existing passion and talent for styling hair—we provide the foundational skills and knowledge needed to elevate those talents to a professional level.

Because the next step in pursuing your career after you graduate will be sitting for the Florida State Board exam, our goal is to prepare you to face this challenge with confidence and poise.

A Day in the Life of a Barbering Student

Here at World Class Academy of Beauty Careers, we believe that if you work hard, you play hard. However, it’s not all fun and games. We’ll help you pursue your passion if you’re ready to put in the hustle. Our teaching methods include a variety of teaching styles in an intimate setting, where you can get the one-on-one attention that you deserve as you hone your craft.

Putting Your Skills to Work

Practice makes perfect, and you can have plenty of room to practice your skills with mannequins in the classroom and real clients in our student salon. In the student salon, you can perform services under the guidance of our licensed instructors while utilizing high-end CHI products in a real-world setting. As you apply skills you’ve learned in the classroom, our instructors will be there to provide feedback and further instruction, so you can feel prepared to serve your future clients with confidence.

Our Program Length and Class Schedules

Our barbering program is 1200 clock hours and may be completed on a part-time or full-time basis. Full-time barbering training may be completed in as little as 8 months, while the part-time night program can be completed in as little as 12 months. Both part- and full-time schedules offer the same curriculum and carry the same tuition and fees.

Barbering classes begin on the first Tuesday of each month, so you can enroll when the time is right for you.

How much does barbering school cost?

Tuition for the barbering program is $13,535.00, and there is an enrollment fee of $150.00. Tuition and fees are the same for part-time and full-time students. However, the cost of school shouldn’t hold you back! There are a variety of financial aid options available to our students to make paying for school possible.

How do I get started with the barbering program?

If you are interested in attending barbering school at World Class Academy of Beauty Careers, the first step is taking a campus tour where you can get to know our instructors and get your questions answered by our admissions staff.

Prospective students must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent to apply. Following your tour, you can submit an application and explore your financial aid and scholarship options to help you pay for school. You can enroll year-round, as classes begin monthly on the first Tuesday of every month.

Do you offer refresher courses for barbering?

Students who are seeking reinstatement of licensure may attend our barbering refresher course. This program is 250 hours with a tuition of $1500.00 and a $150.00 enrollment fee.

What materials do I need for the barbering program?

You will need a barbering kit and textbooks, which are included in the cost of tuition for the barbering program. Our kit is designed to provide you with professional tools and products you can use even after your time at our school! Borrowing kits is not allowed, and any lost or broken items should be replaced immediately.
